Module 1 Ethical theory & Ethical Leadership

  • 5 Steps

About

We start your journey of self-development with the Part A pre-course exercise asking you to critically reflect on your current understanding of Ethics, Ethical theory and Ethical Leadership, articulating how you currently apply these areas on a day-to-day basis personally, and in your organisation. You then complete the Part B reading where you delve into the normative theories of ethics and the different ethical theories that exist with a reading based on a real-life scenario to give you an understanding and practical overview of the consequentialist and non-consequentialist theories of ethics, importantly, we get you to start thinking about what particular theory or combination of theories you could adopt or intertwine into your own DNA, values, and self-identity. You will then complete a multiple-choice quiz, Part C, with a pass rate of 70% The module finishes with a post course self-reflection exercise Part D, on how your understanding of ethics and ethical theory has changed since the reading and what you would do differently and now embed or intertwine into your values and DNA to transform your ethical beliefs and thus influence organisational culture. Once you have completed Part D, please send your Pre/Post course reflection and quiz answers to: tonybeaven@guildofethicscultureandleadership.com for marking. Once you have successfully passed this module, you will be awarded a certificate with 20 hours CPD. You will also be sent an application to apply for Associate Membership designation with the Guild of Ethics Culture & Leadership. *Please note you cannot use the Guilds logo or designation until you have passed one of the course modules and separately applied for and been accepted as a member of the Guild All course materials provided are protected by copyright law.
