Completing Module 1 deepened my practical grasp of ethics as both a conceptual framework and a daily leadership practice.
The module’s clear exposition of consequentialist, deontological, and virtue ethics helped me articulate why I favour a blended approach: using consequentialist analysis for measurable outcomes, deontological checks to protect rights and duties, and virtue ethics to shape character and culture.
It also reinforced that ethical leadership is iterative: it requires disciplined reflection, institutional supports, and the humility to revise course. Practised consistently, it strengthens resilience, reputation, and the organisation’s ability to pursue purpose without sacrificing principle.
